The Food Cupboard serves families in the area by providing a 5-7 day supply of food each month at no cost through our Healthy Options program.

The Emergency Assistance Program offers occasional financial assistance for rent, utility bills, and other basic living expenses and provides case management and referral services.

The Food Cupboard serves families living in the Avon Grove, Unionville-Chadds Ford and Kennett Consolidated school districts, providing a 5-7 day supply of food each month at no cost through our Healthy Options program.

Emergency Assistance

The Emergency Assistance Program offers occasional financial assistance for rent, utility bills, and other basic living expenses. The primary goal of Emergency Assistance is to help families and individuals through times of crisis by providing case management and referral services as well as financial assistance. The Emergency Assistance program also addresses the needs of the local homeless population in Kennett and the surrounding communities.

The KACS Resource Center also provides bathing and laundry facilities for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. Additionally, partner agencies such as Maternal and Child Health Consortium, Home of the Sparrow, Open Hearth and others offer convenient office hours in the lower level of the Resource Center.
