In the past few weeks, there has been an incredible increase in need and we anticipate it will continue to rise as we navigate through this COVID-19 crisis. We need your support to be able to respond to that need. COVID-19 is creating new needs while putting enormous financial pressure on all nonprofits. Contributions make it possible for KACS to continue providing much-needed help during this crisis.
As you may know, prior to COVID-19, we had 550 families (which includes 900 children) visit the Food Cupboard each month for support. Needless to say, these numbers increase weekly and many families that have never needed KACS before are coming to us seeking help. Please support the work we do by clicking the button below to make an online donation. Checks can be mailed to: Kennett Area Community Service P.O. Box 1025 Kennett Square, PA 19348
Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the New Garden Township office located at 299 Starr Road in Landenberg, PA. Simply place the donation in the trunk of your car and our volunteer team will remove it for you. We are working to improve our donation list in order to better accommodate the cultural needs of our participants. Below is the updated list: Our current food donation list: 1.Rice 2.Canned vegetables (low sodium) 3.Soup 4. Dried beans 5.Canned tuna 6.Cereal 7.Canned fruit 8.Peanut butter 9. We love our local gardeners and understand the eagerness to share summer harvests! However, as we do not have volunteers on-site at the Food Cupboard, we are unable to accept unscheduled drop-offs of produce. Please contact us at 610-925-3556 if you would like to inquire about scheduling a produce donation. A decision to schedule will be made on the need for the particular item(s) and staff availability. Please be patient as we will be unable to accommodate everyone. Thank you!
Opportunities to volunteer can be arranged with Carol Vital. Please click below to email her.
